Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime? In South Africa's Public Health Sector, the wait for treatment can be more than 12 weeks, which deeply impacts patients’ well-being, livelihoods, and survival rates.
That’s where Project Flamingo comes in. 💖 They work to reduce these wait times by offering catch-up surgeries at public hospitals across the Western & Eastern Cape. Their dedicated volunteer medical teams provide life-saving surgeries, emotional support, food parcels, and pamper packs to address not only the physical but also the emotional and holistic needs of patients.
