Three Decades of Doing the Right Thing: Fair Cape Dairies Turns 30
Birthdays are a time for celebration and at Fair Cape Dairies we are certainly celebrating our 30th birthday during the month of July. This milestone marks three decades of delivering exceptional dairy products to South African consumers, during which we have undergone an incredible ride, underpinned by our strong value system guiding us throughout. Since our inception in July 1995, Fair Cape Dairies has stood for more than just quality produce. The company’s core value system, captured within our motto of – Do The Right Thing, has guided us to strive for not only customer trust, outstanding quality and excellent service but to also ensure we achieve this through ethical farming practices, sustainability-driven manufacturing and social impact initiatives. Fair Cape has always put purpose at the heart of progress. “Our success over the past 30 years has not only been about delivering award-winning products,” says Fair Cape Group CEO Melt Loubser, “but also about staying true to our core values. From our humble beginnings as a family-run operation to becoming one of South Africa’s leading manufacturers of dairy and related products, our mission has remained consistent: to lead with integrity, respect the environment, ensure animal welfare, deliver products of exceptional quality, and care deeply for the communities we serve.”
Fair Cape Dairies has championed several firsts in the South African dairy industry — from pioneering animal welfare certifications to investing in green energy and water-saving initiatives at our production facilities. These actions have built a loyal customer base that trusts the brand not only for great taste but also for ethical choices.
As part of our 30th birthday celebrations, Fair Cape will be launching a series of activities to commemorate this landmark including community outreach campaigns, hamper giveaways, our largest ever giveaway of R30 000 and behind-the-scenes story telling celebrating all of the people behind the brand.
“Our story is one of purpose, perseverance, and partnership,” adds Chief Marketing Officer, Louis Loubser. “We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and excited about the future as we continue to lead with integrity and care.”
For 30 years Fair Cape Dairies has proven that doing good is good business — and as the next chapter begins, that philosophy remains unchanged.
